Currently in the front page of HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44622953 It isn’t specific to software/subscriptions but there are plenty of examples of quality degradation in the comments

A couple of days ago on Reddit, there was a thread about “company secrets”. A guy that did food tasting for some cookies company said that most people, when doing the tastings, think they are trying different brands and that the company is

Im pretty new to CC, been using it in a very interactive way. What settings are you using to get it to just do all of that without your feedback or approval? Are you also running it inside a container, or setting some sort of command restri

Thank you for the suggestion. Do you guys also have subscription plans? Or do I need to pay separately for the models/apis I use?

Yeah, sometimes I love it when it checks the git log and properly finds reference code for what I’m trying to implement, but other times I really want it to just do it differently and can get annoying Other times I’ll tell it about an issue

I used to feel similarly. But recently started using Claude Code and it does feel a lot better than Cursor for me I'm not sure why. However, Claude does seem to know better where things are and knows not to make unnecessary changes. I

Great question, I don't know. However, at least in my case, I wouldn't mind the source data always overwriting the local data. In fact, that's the way it works now when loading a newer snapshot, the local db is dropped and th

But when loading that pristine local db from the original source, it would still create the indices and thus take a long time? The goal is not necessarily having an easy way to reset, but rather an easy/quick way to load real data

Agreed, and there’s a few ways to deal with that, like not including certain tables or excluding the data via queries when creating the snapshot Having said that, legal exposure and risk will highly depend on what you are working on. Probab

Tangential, but related. Is there a way to have a "locally writable" read replica, ie. a secondary db that reads from a primary, but that can also hold local changes that doesn't send back to the primary? One of the use cases
