When do the enforcements go into effect? My wife went through Lambda in 2020 and still is being hounded by them even though she does not work in a related field. Has to prove salary, show statements, etc. Does this mean she no longer will n

Nice work Neon! I’ve used it a number of times and am impressed at how quickly databases become available. Leaps and bounds faster than RDS. it’s amazing when you need something now.

Pretty interesting. Other competitors in this space include Temporal. What’s interesting about the Cloudflare Workflows is they host the workers, whereas Temporal requires bringing your own compute.

I’ve had my eye on this for a while. As a small startup I’ve been using datadog for a while but am hesitant to stay on it due to the expense. I like the idea of self hosting as well as being otel based.

I’m also interested in this. We’ve been using Auth0 for a year and our contract is up for renewal where we will be getting kicked off of the startup plan. I’m wanting to rip the bandaid off early as we’re about to launch a new platform. I’m

What are startups using for a logging tool that isn’t datadog?

This would somewhat happen to me a lot. I have an iPhone 12 and I’d plug my phone into the car and it would queue up a song from Apple Music. It wouldn’t start playing it but it would be showing there in the paused state. It also wasn’t th

Tbh I've always been a bedroom musician. Not really played too often with others, mostly jam tracks off of youtube. It is really fun to play with others though and the times I've done it have been a blast. It definitely is the be

I am a recent banjo player (about 2 months). I've played the guitar for years and suddenly got the urge to pick up the banjo. Needless to say, I got a few weird looks. Some tech guy in SF playing the banjo, what? Anyways, there are a l

I've resulted into a pretty similar setup. We use SOPS and the encrypted .env file is stored in VCS. The key is stored in 1password with instructions on where to stuff it on your machine. Then you just decrypt the .env file and you

Sure, it might be Apple - and maybe reading between the lines that is why Valve dropped the support. However, it reads (to me) as not enough people are playing the game on the mac so they are dropping support. To me that doesn't read a

This makes me sad. I occasionally get the itch to surf or kz and boot up CSGO on my M1 Mac to do so. It's just more convenient for me to do this on my laptop, rather than to slug over to my desk to use my windows desktop that I rarely

I played a lot of moparscape back in the day. Was a fun community of people. Learned a lot standing up my own server and getting it listed on their registry for others to join.

At least for Lemmy, every page you go to you’ll find a link to an RSS feed. Even down to your own profile’s comments! It gives you the ability to fine tune and subscribe to whatever filter you desire.

To use a simple analogy, Lemmy is like a federated reddit while Mastodon is like a federated twitter. They are both built ontop of ActivityPub, which is the messaging protocol that enables these technologies. I'm still reading and und

I agree. The role that Nucleus asks you to create does not ask for the AdministratorAccess policy. Instead, it calls out the specific product areas that it accesses. We also have a description of each one and why we need it in our docs. ht

Today our platform is built ontop of EKS. We are currently working on GKE support, and then AKS to follow.

Thanks! Today we are leveraging EKS. We're also currently adding support for GKE. They each have their quirks though and support different things. In the future I'd love to add generic, un-managed support for the reasons you stat

Love the art style. This looks like a new take on Worms. What are some key features that differentiate it from a game like Worms (besides the fact that it is open-source and written in Bevy/Rust)? Otherwise, cool project!

This is the right answer here. This design simplifies APIs and makes them much more straight forward as it more easily lets you operate on the data. Nesting entities seems like the right approach at first but can turn into a nightmare as y
