A lot of so-called environnemental awareness campaigns are the work of trade organizations or multinationals. Often they shift the blame onto the consumer, so for example it's "you need to recycle" instead of "we need to

At least for me when woodworking, the cutting, nailing, and gluing are the fun bits. The sanding and finishing is the grunt work/boilerplate.

Interesting that you say the 'o' to explicitly indicate the 24h format. In France we just say "let's meet tomorrow at 8 hours" for example, to which the person has to ask something like "Wait, do you mean at 8

This is true as well, and in fact not uncommon for a dictatorship to have decent support as long as the economy is good. See: China (although unlike Brazil I have no direct experience there). It's also a well worn play book at this poi

A big difference between Brazil and the USA is that until 1985, Brazil was a dictatorship. The kind that "disappears" and tortures journalists and political opponents. So lots of people still alive today remember those days and un

Exactly. Well not exactly. The desalinization plant produces brine (very salty water) as a waste product. Rather than disposing of it directly, they use the brine to generate electricity. This electricity is then used partly to run the desa

That's exactly the reason why so many people prefer giving up their data, their privacy, their freedom. Personally I'm happy to pay proton a few bucks a month to not have to give up those things. I'm not criticizing those tha

Ruff pretty much follows the same rules as black, and can be made identical with some options tweaking. So when I moved several projects from black to ruff, there were no changes made to the code.

Funny, I don't like Ruby because it has easy access to metaprogramming. It's powerful, yes, but in my experience it's a powerful footgun that makes the code very difficult to understand and debug 6 months down the line. And i
