Not sure that's a fair comparison though. `du` isn't built in to bash, afaik; you could just as easily type `du -sh <folder>` in PowerShell. If you /did/ need to do it without `du` then it would be something like:

Not sure it's double the effort. Once you've written the textual version, you pretty much only need to copy and paste it into a terminal to produce the asciicast version. That's how I did the animations for this Powershell to
