I wonder if for a larger consumer product this would not work, as word gets around they can stay free for a long time. Though it seems to work for a lot of community software like makeMKV.

Easy to say, but working on a house framing/electric/plumbing project for 8+ hours I would rather have the gloves on. With a lathe or mill, of course I'm not gonna wear gloves.

You can also easily break your wrist with some of the stronger ones that are available. I've also had one wind-up part of my work glove on accident. And the big plug-in drills are just terrifying in general, with how much rotational in

My uncle is a lawyer in Europe who specializes in art law and I can assure you based on listening to him talk about cases, that you are likely to have to return the stolen art if there is sufficient evidence despite any inheritances or inte

Whereas prior to colonialism, the nobles would declare a new loyalty and life for the peasants would continue on as normal (or the nobles would be replaced). It seems that the Protestant reformation was a big contributor to change in this s

How about, by scraping my website they have agreed to my TOS which unilaterally supersedes any other agreements that may be in place. Any disputes between parties must be resolved by binding public votes on Twitter.

Nice in theory, but then debugging non-trivial recursive functions would not be my idea of a good time.

I was referring to distribution (local) rather than transmission (between grids or regions, I believe HVDC is limited to transmission so far)

Driving old cars, especially open top, can be a really fun, joyful activity! Risk manage it like any other high risk activity: plan ahead, pay attention, and be realistic about your ability.

Very much so. That is why it seems we won't have DC distribution (ever? Not sure what it would take for DC to make more sense)

At some point autoencoding during training will take care of that, it seems. We kind of already it with 'tutor' training and gpt-generated training data, as well as synthetic logic and math problem sets.

I'd be curious what the algorithm was. Were/are there any approximate algorithms that could have approached the problem?

Sorry for your loss. Given that you are selling it rather than rent it out, it seems to have the intended effect. Just as when I renovated a vacant RSO duplex, I sold it rather than enter rent control again. Incentives do work, but we accid

Keep RSO but get rid of Prop13 on any non-owner occupied buildings. Multi unit buildings that are not individual condos should automatically be voided out of Prop 13 anyways.
