In a room full of introverts, I'm the guy in the corner. Well, at programmer meetups I am, anyway. Shy and introverted are two different things, but in either case it extends to electronic interactions as much as it does to person to person

I've wondered why there isn't a set of national texts available for core math and science subjects. They're pretty stable subjects. So at one point I decided to find out what the mission of the Dept. of Education is, and the shocker (to me,

I have a cousin who works in PR for Microsoft, and he told me that since Ballmer became CEO the headcount in marketing and sales positions has tripled. (This was a few years ago and was just his ballpark estimate.) I can't help but think th

I'm not sure this data is meaningful. I recall searching for several real symptoms that I had, and the step 2 options were so far off that I decided to just try the suggested searches to see the sample results.

Agreed. Some of the fields could use better labeling. For example, there are three font color settings, and the only way I could tell what each field affected was to enter red, green, and blue then view the results. Plus, it needs another f

I can't tell whether this is supposed to be serious. Here's a simple test, show someone the dot => alphabet mapping for A to E. Next, write a dot in the middle of a plain white piece of paper and have your test subject tell you which le
