Stipend probably depends a lot on the area of study. For the ones I've heard about (a lot) it's universally around $12k a year USD.

One could make the argument that Americans deserve American jobs more than foreigners because the vast majority of Americans have been contributing to American society their entire lives through their work and taxes and will most likely con

No, it would cause a pretty big swing. Large sums like this are unlikely to be put on an exchange, though - they'd be done through a private sale.

The issue is the same information is available from other sources without a paywall and the difference in information or insight is negligible for articles like this.

A lot of apps collect this information. There are flashlight apps that collect the same level. This is nothing new.

Or they could be less confusing with their writing, use "raises the question" like they intended to, and not look stupid in the process.

I don't get why people defend incorrect language usage but wouldn't defend terrible misspellings, like "definitely" as "defiantly". They're both equally "wrong" but one is acceptable and one isn&

Looks like there was a recent update to the JustFab drama and class action lawsuit: http://abc7news.com/shopping/online-retailer-fined-$18m-for-... (They had to pay out 1.8MM)

If this happened in the US they'd be slammed to the concrete in handcuffs, tried as an adult, and thrown in prison for 10 years for various wire fraud, hacking, and probably some sort of terrorist charges.

I think the real issue here is that SpaceX has to compete on a global scale and American patents don't do anything to stop foreign companies or agencies from taking their technology. I doubt there is much, if any, competition in the US

If you can't find any work as a junior web dev at any salary then you're possibly doing something wrong with your resume or interview. It's impossible to give feedback on that without more info.

I think the people behind TrueCrypt deserve some recognition - they solved an extremely difficult problem much better than it had ever been solved before. It's unfortunate they never got Windows 8 compatibility before shutting down.
