I like GitUp, but how do you handle the fact that the map view doesn't show commit messages and dates (like gitk for example)?

Yes, RUM is great. I'd hope it will be built-in one day.

JSX let's us define components, usable with the usual HTML syntax. PHP does not. That's why Facebook developed XHP (XML fragments in PHP), which inspired JSX.

Do you use ts_rank? PostgreSQL FTS is very efficient until you want to rank the results according to their relevance. This is because the data necessary to the ranking are not in the GIN or GIST index. They are in the heap, and this trigger

try may have drawbacks but not this one. try is perfectly explicit. There is no implicit error propagation.

I think the Result type is quite easy to understand, and it's central to Rust error handling strategy. The main difficulty is we also have to understand the purpose of the dyn keyword and why the Error must be boxed. Anyone writing ser

I really appreciate the progress here! But I'm wondering if the return type of the function in the code example is not introducing too much complexity for a Rust novice trying to develop a simple highly concurrent HTTP service: a

I disagree. I think Go modules are the result of listening to the community. GOPATH, for example, would still be there if the Go team would not have listened to the community.

It was abandoned in favor of the try proposal, mostly because the handle statement was coming partly redundant with the defer statement, but with subtle differences.
