The "less bureaucracy" is the lack of the same trademark policy. That's literally it. They're not threatening to sue you if you don't include disclaimers on everything you do while using their language.

Is there a difference between cheating in school and hacking school? I think so. I almost never studied for math tests in University. They were all multiple choice and I found it easy to logic out the only possible answer to the question ju

Ha. My defense is that my west coast US accent is closer to what Brits sounded like at the time of the American revolutionary war than a typical London accent is today.

When I'm talking to British friends they'll often repeat back what I said and exaggerate the rhoticity of my western US accent. I'll poke back with a "It's chewsday innit bruv?" Seems pretty common.

This changed my life. I'm unfamiliar with that app, I use Cold Turkey Blocker and iOS screen time. My wife keeps the passwords if I need to make changes or unlock things.

Maybe. It just seems to me that every single angle of AI has this same moat issue. It's like the generation ship problem. Send a ship to the stars today, and before it gets there technology might advance such that the second ship we se

Any wrapper that needs writing speaks to a gap in the AI's current capabilities. I just don't see why or how I would put man-hours into trying to close that gap when a future model could eclipse my work at any time.

Really interesting to look at this from a product perspective. I've been obsessively looking at it from an AI user perspective, but instead of thinking of it as a "moat", I just keep thinking of the line from Disney's Th

Also significant to note that much of this AI boom was due to the UI of ChatGPT that gave everyone easy access to the model. Perhaps much of the improvements to be had in GPT-5 will also be found in the UI. I mean UI in the broadest possibl

That's a myth based on a single very flawed study that's 15 years old. Every study since then has Utah in close to last place for porn consumption per capita.

Thanks for appropriately labeling this a conspiracy theory. As a Mormon in Utah I find this absurd, but conversations on Mormonism online are pretty tricky, so you come to expect absurd claims like that. I support this law on its face, but

Pornhub is already requiring ID in Louisiana, which has a similar law. But their traffic has gone done significantly because of this. It seems to be that blocking Utah is a strategic PR move to try and make these kinds of laws unpopular. Le
