Not quite the same but the most comparable product I'm aware of is the Panasonic "Let's Note" line, which intend to be durable business ultraportables with lots of ports and replaceable (if not hot-swappable) batteries T

I always set Caps Lock to act the same as Control. One of the benefits is that I don't have to care about the Fn/Ctrl placement.

I'd love to try one of the new VAIOs to find out if the quality is the same. https://us.vaio.com/collections/vaio-sx

Yeah, my argument is simply: you can be a small modern laptop with a ton of ports. Sure there are tradeoffs (e.g. battery-life). But here's a 14" with as many ports as the VAIO, a 3:2 display, a hot-swappable second battery, and

A bit off topic but as much as we can praise the return of some ports on the new MBP, it's amazing to compare with products like https://us.vaio.com/collections/vaio-sx12

Some laptops have two batteries, one of which can be hot-swapped or removed and charged while the other keeps running in the meantime. Would love to see that on Macbooks and could be a fair compromise for the airplane problem, though obvio

There have been prior threads on HN about dumb tvs with several options. The LG "Commercial Lite" (for Business) series has some non-smart options, at least in Canada. It was just a few years ago I got my 55" 4k LG dumb tv

Thanks for clarifying -- makes sense. Good luck with the project. Maybe I'm weird about it but reading the Bible for me is personal enough that I don't want to use an app that collects my identifier and tracks usage data. I'

Off-topic question about Nix. I understand it works by redirecting symlinks from, say, one version of a package's files to another. Isn't there a race-condition here -- like if I invoke a program at the wrong time while it's
