Hasn't Apple banned it yet? And if not, why not? I find the double standard appalling.

I agree with you. I want Ubuntu and Linux to succeed in having at least a significant part of the market, but I don't think it's possible, or not as fast as I would hope, if they keep prioritizing stuff for developers and stuff, when Linux

No info. But hopefully the first one will be based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and will be 64-bit (Cortex A57 and Cortex A53 class chips). It would be a mistake for them to start out with a 32 bit version, just to switch to the 64 but version month

And they wonder why the anti-American sentiment is growing. I don't like these trends of US dictating EU policy one bit. Sure, US has always had "great relationships" with some European countries after WW2, and many European countries liked

I think that's why many Android manufacturers decided to pay Microsoft, instead of trying to fight them like B&N - which probably would've won if Microsoft didn't give up and settled with them (they called it an "investment").

I would've really liked them to introduce a new more modern UI with this release. I like these UI mock-ups here, with the left sidebar. I think that's a good idea (the symbols above should be in white, too, though): http://pauloup.devianta

Sounds like Dell wants to move "upmarket", being chased away by disruptive competitors. I think we know how that is going to end, especially if they are going to depend so much on Microsoft, another company being disrupted.

The video does mention some documents leaked that are password-locked and encrypted, and that they will start seeding some redacted information from it to media outlets. So we'll probably see soon if any of it is real.

I'm confident VP9 has a much better chance of succeeding this time around. h264 was already widely supported before Apple decided to promote it against Flash. That's not the case with h.265 right now. It will have to start from scratch, w

This is why it's important to demand symmetric speeds from Internet providers in US. People are uploading a lot of stuff to the Internet these days. It's a much more 2-way medium today than it was in the past.
