I'm also a big fan of working while reclined. I am less fancy, and probably less ergonomic about it. I will sit on a recliner couch, or in the warm season I also sit on a zero gravity chair[0] outside, on my deck, in the shade. In both

Spring Data JDBC is, by default I believe, backed by a full on ORM, that being Hibernate. I'm open to different opinions on this, but I dislike Hibernate because of the complexity and the pains it causes when trying to do simple things

Thanks for sharing. I may do this if I ever decide to do some 'notebook' style work. Oz mentions integrating with jupyter and whatever else, but I love org-mode and wouldn't really want to start using a tool other than Emacs

Anyone have experience with both MatPlotLib and Vega / Vega-lite? I like working in Clojure and am just about to do a bunch of data-viz. I've only done a simple line chart so far, and I used this oz library for interfacing with Cl

Wow this one has quite the vocabulary! Right in the first pages we have "hosting provider", "environment", "OS", "Web Server", etc.

I actually felt like I learned a lot this way, although I had access to a highly competent person who knew nearly everything about the code base, and I would discuss with him like 4-5 times a day sometimes. It felt like close collaboration,

I have to disagree that macOS has a good GUI. I have used Ubuntu with KDE Plasma (Ubuntu) extensively in the past, but when I started a new job a year ago I was supplied a 2019 MBP. This year has been my first Mac experience. I find a lot o

I'm sure that's true. I would like to say that I am young and I remember getting turned on to podcasts and reddit and good books when I was 15 or so, and being exposed to rational thought and discussion did a lot for my developmen
