As an aside, how to you accurately measure memory bandwidth? I've been looking for a good solution but couldn't find one.

Basically I think that's dumb. That sounds harsh, but I think this is over-reach on the part of the FDA and is limiting innovation. A long as the device doesn't give a diagnostic output I don't see it as a big issue. The pote

I enjoyed this! I'd personally move the DM section to the top, and put the bit about pre-made quests earlier too and that was the question I had in my mind when I started reading, but it wasn't answered until the end of the docume

The article is interesting, I learnt about a few apps that could be valuable to me. But what I found most worrying was the lack of acknowledgement that exclusively using cloud storage has caviates associated with it. Are we really so comfor

If you have no intension of every going public or selling the company do you still fall inside the current definition of a startup? It seems unfair, if the founders are able to sell their equity privately. Overall, in a startup my view is t

Devil's advocate: The idea that a personal computer is a good idea is just insane, for this reason: You're going to be connected to a mainframe anyway. Even if your personal computer did have enough storage and power you're s

I'm a bit shocked to see this on the front page. That's possibly a comment on me as much as anything. But this is just really simple bit packing. Is this something many engineers (maybe frontend/JS) don't know about now?

Is there anywhere that covers technology/scientific development well? (Non-software). I'm always looking for those kinds of things (new sensor, scientific methods, medical advances). But have never found a good forum for this.

One other point. You don't even need to remove the EEPROM, you can reprogram them in-place using an SOOC-8 clip and an SPI interface (eg buspirate). There lot of info available.

Right, but I'm still surprised they've not at least implemented "if can't read EEPROM at boot disable EEPROM writes". With the architecture used, they're never going to be too robust to physical access. Overall

I don't think it works like that. Use a typical trace width calculator e.g.: http://www.circuitcalculator.com/wordpress/2006/01/31/pcb-tr... And you'll find that a 1.5mm wide, 1mm thick, trace
