As far as I understood the apps are designed to measure time of being near someone as well. I think within X meters for Y minutes (based on how often the bluetooth pings are exchanged). This also has basis in virology where rate of infectio

I worked on an academic open source Java project following my BSc and after years of MSc + industry experience as backend dev, I cringe really hard at what I produced back then. So hard in fact, that I am about to invest time to fix that me

Steve Jobs always sounded like his actions as CEO were based on reason, despite being harsh and interfering (let's leave the whole fruitarian-cancer thing out for a second). To me it made the impression that he could at least reason as

Because it carries the "Pro" label. Why not just call it Macbook then? Why release what is essentially 2 products under one label, confusing consumers. It's predatory because Apple charges way too much for way too little when

Enterprise software is often the epitome of being removed from the results and the fruits of your work, it's a prime example of what Marx was talking about. You can write unit tests and Spring components with 64 character names all day

Where it doesn't matter that the maxed out specs at which point you can call the machine "Pro" cost something like €3000? I'm sorry, but 8GB LPDDR3 and 256GB SSD with 2 USB-C ports and jet engine fans aren't really

I enjoy my Macbook a lot but I wonder when people will crack and not shove money into Apple's behind for "premium" machines with so many flaws. I love my MBP but its issues make me feel like €1000 less and I'd be perfect

Probably have hard-coded screen paint calculations for typical macOS and a need for massive multi-year refactor to allow non-typical screen sizes (e.g. 1cm more when removing the bezels on 13"). Semi-sarcasm.

Just to put out a reference here because I have seen numbers in German news yesterday. Alcohol sales for wine and beer are up around 20-30%. In grocery stores. But is that really a hint at overall alcohol sales growing? For me, I know I b

I am a fairly young consultant and have initially advocated against Zoom due to the glaring privacy issues. Obviously to no avail. Nobody cares. People just want to open a service and have it work and Zoom excels at that. As Teams was alrea

Btw - thank you for working hard at making this smooth. My SO had a 6S until 2 months ago and only during iOS 11 it was not smooth. iOS 12 and 13 were perfect and apart from the camera she says she kind of misses the 6S for its smaller form
