I've given up on discovering new music using technology and gone back to curated lists. No matter how hard I've tried to exploit technology, friends/bloggers who are obsessed with music are always the best sources. Subjective

Subsonic is great. I switched to Kodi with the chorus web application that allows controlling and streaming your music to the web browser. Not as feature rich, but together with yatse on my android devices it means a raspberry pi with only

I'd like a more indepth analysis of [1] and related stories. At a glance it seems that there is a big push for privatisation and more power for capital over labour to encourage business, which the cynic in me assumes will be for the r

Thanks for the update! I was unaware of the power of geoJSON (also githubs neat mapping of them) and access to data from places such as gadm.org. Is that where you source the data?

I found gitbucket after trying (unsuccessfully) to run gitlab on my 512mb RAM VM. It has satisfied all the needs of our small group, which is essentially keeping a visual track of our git repos and permissions.

Agreed. University administrators definitely have an effect. There has been a doubling[0] in the number of administrative posts in the US and they cost a lot[1]. It seems to be a continued corporatization of the tertiary sector, whereby ma
