All of you are misinterpreting Twitter's "features" here. Most likely the root cause of this is an internal feature at Twitter called "per-country takedown." If someone from Germany asked (and had a valid court orde

I think this is a 'right tool for the job' problem. Frequently you don't need an operating system to do basic tasks. I don't see this as a problem at all for simple things to a point. Even something that seems as complex

I don't think they've blocked it. I can still search on id_rsa without issue. However, The majority of the keys I'm seeing are either encrypted, test fixtures, or otherwise. There are many unencrypted keys available, though!

I migrated nearly all of troupeit.com over to ReactJS. I really love it, but my biggest complaint has to be the mixing of logic and views together, and the duplication of security checks. Although I'm not entirely sure I can blame reac

This really sounds like more of a "Astros suck at employee off-boarding" problem. They failed to lock out users of the previous system long after they left the company. Regardless of their weak password storage scheme (which must

Lyft is not the only company that will do things like this. Twitter tried this with Twitter Digits, and Yahoo offers single-factor phone based recovery. In all of these cases, companies are sacrificing convenience for security.

I think the reality here is, this is what happens when you let companies fight over a standard in private. What I saw on the HTTP/2 mailing lists was "We have a new standard." "It demands SSL, but we don't want that

I think one of the best examples of this can be found in Sagan's book, Contact. The battle between the scientists, government, and religious fanatics is played out pretty well (even more exaggerated in the movie.) But currently, It see

The key wording here is: " [this] will be something that people take every day for the rest of their life," That means a large amount of research dollars can be dumped into a product with recurring revenue. They never actually wan

TCP buffers, and caching eliminate any argument about Jitter that one could pose on this issue. Timing of file transfer and playback rate on the DAC are not linked, so this study is absurdly flawed.

Yet another reason why working with or talking to RMS is impossible. I think we can apply many of these arguments to Taxi cabs as well. Taxis run "non free" software to process credit cards. Taxi destinations can be subpoenaed by
