I hope you are right, but I am much more cynical. With a product for professionals like this, when they don't have to come up with a punch list of new features to convince you that the new version is worth spending your hard earned mo

I'm not sure I agree with you - they released Lightroom 5 around the same time as the CC transition, and as far as I can tell they haven't updated it since beyond support for new cameras and bug fixes, which I would have expected

Years ago we had the choice of Aperture or Lightroom - we have been happy with that decision so far and this just confirms it. But lightroom still leaves a lot to be desired from a photo management perspective - and I wish there were more

I wonder if there is any way to check the optimization status in the browser? It would be awesome to have a chrome audit that parsed through all of the functions in a js file and told you the optimization status of each and why.

Thanks for putting this together. There are definitely some places where there is a marked speed improvement over lodash, but lodash seems to still win in a other cases. I think I will stick with lodash for now and go look into augmenting

I've had the same thought before, but I worry more and more about vendor lock in. I like DO because theyre just giving me a server - I can implement a proxy or a database or whatever on them the same as I would on any VPS. For me to

Thanks, I hadn't come across this one before. Looks like they are expecting some API changes in the future though so I'll just bookmark this one for now.

This is mentioned in the readme: https://github.com/codemix/fast.js#how The two functions do not necessarily work the same way - the native implementation handles edge cases that the fast version drops.

I believe this one also shows you an approximation of the thunder, so if you are close enough to a strike you can actually tell when you will hear the thunder. We were playing with it over the weekend and it was surprisingly accurate!

I wonder what the risks are for running on "The new version was completely rewritten from the ground up...", but it does seem to have been tested for a few months. As a developer that does ops stuff as a means to the ends of devel

I completely agree. 9 times out of 10 I can pick up a new language, understand the syntax, but how to idiomatically structure a project is a completely different thing. Most of the time I would rather have the latter than the former - I c

I found this site a few months back and was absolutely impressed. I hope to one day have a 4k tv mounted to a wall and framed in my house with slide shows from a custom curated set of art playing on repeat.

When it surprises you. It is easier to reason about code when you know that values will not change - an immutable value cannot change so you don't have to worry about passing it around, using it in asynchronous processes, changing it
