I think gamification is a reflection of the whole edutainment push in the mid nineties which puts a leaderboard on the whole, "collect all the gold stars" that was popular in the mid 80s.

I'd love to see textual preprocessors kinda banned. Or at least done upstream and outside of the language. You can't both be <the language> and also have a textual preprocessor defined internally. It doesn't work. I rea

I would also wrap the whole TEC stack with Aerogel so heat doesn't leak around the edges. Heatpipes are amazing.

Many CCD cameras used for astronomy use a TEC stack to cool the sensor. Separating the cold and the hot side is paramount. Haven't used it in space, but I'd probably use a vapor phase heat pipe to move the heat as far away as poss

We are seeing a transformation where AI papers have a website that has code/paper/video and high level explainer. The paper is now subservient to the rest of the body of work. The one that I don't like is many venues have a 1

I wanted to be an astronaut, animator, inventor, back to stop motion and time lapse animation and then physicist. I can't be an astronaut, but those other things are still achievable.

Yeah, but that is error prone and more complex. A compiler can make those same transformations. I'd argue that the properly lazy programmer is the one using recursion. To get even lazier, one should move into relational algebra.

That is a good list, many of these can also be applied to Rust because it has many of the same affordances in its build and supply chain ecosystem. I thought maybe there was module level capabilities in .net, I don't follow it at all b

Then effectively your non-browser container is a browser subset just for your application. You could run a browser and record all the page faults, then remove all the code you didn't run. https://fgiesen.wordpress.com/2
