Nothing magic here. Be careful with the == comparison operator and its type juggling. If you want to match things precisely, use the === operator. Loose comparisons can have dangerous side-effects! The MD5 examples are really just cloaked c

Doesn't the length of a salt modify the effective length of the password? If the salt is 16 chars and the password is only 4 but a strong hashing algorithm is used wouldn't it still effectively be 20 characters? If that's the

AI is very interesting but not very accessible because it's so specialized. I have a fairly strong programming background but feel like I'd need to study theory for a significant amount of time to even get my feet wet with AI. If

I agree, it's a family of closely-related implementation details. You can also shrink the scope using visibility, get inherent namespace benefits for what would otherwise be loose functions, etc. The benefits are primarily organization

As a programmer I really appreciate these kinds of things as a rough howto and source of inspiration. It would've been cool if they showed how those roughs translated into finished UIs though!

Fuck that. Do you want to mislead a racist into interviewing or hiring you? Besides that, I'm really tired of the cancer that is the anticipation or expectation of racism. I understand there are lots of examples of racism on a regional

We've seen a few grid A-star/grid-based pathfinding articles and tools now and they're really interesting but every time I see one I can't help but think, "how is pathfinding done for games which are not a grid?&q

Nope! By the way-- the white text overlaps your background at very high resolutions and makes the product description line unreadable, especially above 1830px wide in FF. The "Buy 1 get 1 free" overlaps "reward" which mi
