My question as well. My experience using notebooks with 3rd party Jupyter clients has been poor, eg Nteract and Pycharm. Whereas Jupyterlab Desktop just works. You would have to convince me to switch to anything else.

Right, stereotypical suburbia is actually pretty good for walking and biking around, hanging out at the park, etc. What's not so good is "rural" suburbia, where every road is either a stroad or a country through-road with no

And like NPM or PyPI it's still at least marginally better than downloading compiled packages from opaque file servers. For example we avoided using the H3 ( https://h3geo.org ) extension for that reason. Safer (but slower) t

This is why I never fully embraced to the REPL-driven development style espoused by CL users. Even if I am using hot reloading during my development workflow, I never keep a long-running development image and I never expect to distribute or

The hidden control panels aren't that special: the controls are just on the top of the door instead of the front of the door. Also they are only on higher-end dishwashers made by higher-end brands, which also tend to get the basics rig

That's what you find in a lot of domain specific libraries written by scientists, mathematicians, etc. Professional engineer-quality code written by people who aren't professional engineers is rare. Or it's some enormously po

I'm very curious how you "bootstrap" a model like that. Do you start with a physics simulation? Make an educated guess and then get pilots to label when it's wrong in order to incrementally improve? Recruit pilots to man

I'm not saying it can't or shouldn't be done. It's that we don't have anything like a state military manufacturing industry currently, so it would be a new and significant undertaking to nationalize a company like B
