True, but only in the long term. Cutting edge AI will continually provide a competitive advantage and access will result in better products. Once the diminishing returns of improvements drop off or when it gets "good enough", then

The current batch of YC was all given access. I'd guess OpenAI has a profit sharing agreement to incentivize it. > At least GPT4 isn't good enough to use something like AutoGPT I worry that GPT-4 will continue to get better whi

This is a fair argument. However, their mission contradicts the advantage they’re providing to friends. > Our mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.

This post refers to API access to GPT-4, which is only available via gated waitlist. I pay for ChatGPT and hit the cap regularly.

Either we're in a simulation or the universe is infinite and has always existed. Eventually the science will catch up. Eternal Inflation is a similar idea, but suggests greater spacing between universes allowing for independent physics

FYI, Peter is a bit of a sensationalist (he’s been predicting China will collapse within 10 years since 2005).

gotta find those that value equity > cash or look at more junior devs also, some businesses don't need A players bc their industry doesn't compete on technology (e.g., real estate dialers).

A players attract A players, but A players also push out B players if you're tolerating < A players, you might want to take a hard look at yourself.

incompetence should never be tolerated, but incompetent + nice are the hardest employees to remove. incompetence erodes culture, leads to bureaucracy and the slow death of a company. assholes will help you push out incompetent employees
