Seconding Sebastian. His videos are a combination of being ambitious, pedagogical, fascinating and he has a way of making hard things seem easy.

If the word contains two vowels that are the same, it counts one occurrence as two correct ones. For example: Word: METER Guess: KEXXX (two vowels correct) Guess: KEXER (two vowels correct)

I've had conversations with people who are entirely convinced that animals like cats, dogs, birds, have no conscious experience and therefore are not aware of our presence or feel any pain. They think the pain is simply a signal to mak

I was using regular Beeper to consolidate my chat apps into one, but this mess with Android to iPhone has made everything so unstable that I dropped iMessage from the app. I wish they hadn't rocked the boat with Mini, it's affecti

Totally off topic, but it struck me that it would be funny to try to map out the world with thousands (millions?) of Roombas.

It's quite refreshing! I think you don't need to go very far back in time to feel disconnected from film because of the different frame rate making people move in jerky ways. It's like a stop-motion animation almost, and the

Yes, that's likely to happen at least with popular footage where there is interest in harvesting more value. I don't see it as anything negative; we keep redoing Shakespeare in novel ways, but the core is still there.

It can be fun seeing something upscaled as a thought experiment on what life was like at a different time, it doesn't take much away from the original film imo. Also, They Shall Not Grow Old was made in 2018 before the recent AI boom.

Giving children free access to the Internet is already a risky proposal that can easily lead to them finding inappropriate content. Content creators push toxic belief systems, narratives, marketing strategies to sell even things they don&#x

During the pandemic I made a list of predictions for the next year and when I revisited it I realised that I was expecting things to move faster than they did. I think some of them might come true eventually, but when is harder to determi

I love this. Sometimes Swedish words are hard to translate because they are compound words or because they are some weird metaphor. For example, the Swedish "Smultronställe" is quite literally, "Raspberry place", and ref

I can't help but admire this type of behaviour. For everything that spawns a market (in this case books), you can expect someone to find a way to benefit from it in unusual ways, and usually it takes some creativity and originality. I

Cool idea, but the UI could need some work. Perhaps model the MacOS emoji menu a bit? Symbols I find myself googling a lot are: Bullet: • Ellipsis: … (not the same as "...") Em Dash: — (longer than "-") Arrows:

Python is a good choice imo, the other one I would suggest is working it into an API but I can work around it. My use case is not there yet so don't build it for me.

I couldn't find the answer - does Biome work with a prettierrc.json file so that it can be implemented in an organisation that uses Prettier? In this case it would only be for speed reasons, not the formatting.
