how's Anna make money? I know they offered to share the database for ai training (which I would criticize, that's very shady) but do they have donations or something it doesn't seem like it would be high revenue at least

I do think telling you to get your affairs in order and to arrange for hospice care is probably good for the doctors. They don't want a family coming in with a sudden decline case and all the information about how to pay for it lost, a

They mentioned that the graphene compatible phone would cost more than the pixels, and currently the only moto phones that expensive are all folding models. So there was speculation it would be based on that line.

Yeah I'm not sure this is public attitudes so much as creeping incompetence from recent political appointments, at least at the federal level. However that doesn't explain Ohio doing it as neatly, unless I've missed some loca

Isn't it pretty normal for car commercials or soda commercials to get covers of songs made? "I'd like to teach the world to sing" was covered as a tribute to coca cola in 1971, that's classic now.

For me the issue is that online gambling firms can operate legally at this scale and that they therefore have the money to get commercials like that. The celebrity endorsements are bad too, but priorities

I think people save them up towards the end of whatever year just because you aren't sure if you're going to need them for medical leave or a sudden family trip or something. As you get close to the end you get more certain that y

My perspective is that you shouldn't make systems past the complexity where you can do this at all. Why have them be autonomous? Why have one that can independently ask researchers things or try to convince it's way out of a sandb

Why aren't they? You could put a human yes/ no prompt before any cycle the agent is running on, or not let it spawn sub processes, or anything like that. Why let it run autonomously enough that it can no longer have a simple way t

Here is one thing I don't get - the model is only "running" if it's being kept going by some harness that is basically giving it prompts it's generating itself. Shouldn't kill switches be pretty easy to build i

Most of that concern was in fiction. Non theoretical, genuine concern about AI is pretty recent, maybe dating back to 2010 ish with the rationalist types. But also no one trusts anyone involved in AI safety now, I think, because they are al

Not a lawyer, but patent law refers to distribution too. It shouldn't matter if it's free or has a price if they can say you're distributing it to Brazilian users.
