I expect familiarity would be a big confounder either way? The first time you see the new font it might be harder than something like times new Roman if you've seen that thousands of times and gotten used to its hinting

South Korea has both a fairly active feminist movement (although small - you can look up their 4b push and etc) and a very active anti feminist political wing. A guy was pardoned for stabbing a retail worker who cut her hair short, there&#x

That really should only matter for the direct maternity leave and maybe some disruption at work during pregnancy. The years of child raising after that point is probably more important for this?

In other countries women are more able to do both. You have to reckon with the wage decrease for mothers being especially high in south Korea at least?

You can guess exactly how authorities would define "political agitation", though. dangerous things to allow them to ban.

The memes around Fate were especially annoying for this. Anything but a "dated" entry, I guess.

It's a combo - quite a lot of self published books are basically kindle exclusives and their Drm and format is now annoying to crack.

It would be before the congestion fee anyway - parking costs alone are absurd and cumbersome right?

I don't think poor people who lived in NYC were driving that often anyway? cars are expensive to begin with and parking is crazy in that part of the city

What do you imagine would use that? I can only think of smooth scrolling on a web toon or something, but you would want much better color reproduction first.

The media is generally fairly complacent about it - the drama is good ratings material. And you can't link angry blue sky posts or substacks really. Occasionally someone does comment about it and get flagged, ofc? and this article is p

it's easier for me to touch my thumb to the bottom of my finger (palm side) than the other way around, and you could also press it into whatever you're holding potentially. might mean more accidental presses though

Plenty of bands on Bandcamp selling tapes as merch in my experience. I think they're more of a physical collectable item instead of a genuine medium for most of the buyers though?

Trying to convince me to buy things isn't always good for me, though. It's good if the thing is useful or I already needed one and just need to know about brands, but a lot of advertising is trying to drive up consumption in more

I think the main reason they aren't competing as much now is that blu ray players / computers with disc drives / consoles with disc drives are getting more scarce? I don't even know where I would get a good blu ray drive
