The total program cost of the F22 is $66 billion. On a Pentagon spending request site they put the per unit cost as $354 million if you include R&D and procurement costs. So maybe it's more likely than you might think.

Please don't go back to your corner. If you can, put up a few web pages about bricks. I think the world could use them. I live in a newly built house (+-6 years) and we have a fake brick facade plastered to the front of our house. I ha

I'm sorry, but fields of filet mignon sounds great. Make it fields of bacon-wrapped filets and I would call it my own personal utopia (for as long as my heart held out)

A side note: as a teenager I spent one summer working in a clothing store in London, with a bunch of Spaniards and Italians. They spoke to each other using their respective tongue, and said they could understand each other. Just basics of c

I grew up cycling in London. Came from a family of cyclists and motorbikers. My uncles taught me one rule, which has saved me on numerous occasions (on a bike and in a car): "Ride like you're invisible. Drivers don't see you

My biggest worry is that it's not science that is in trouble, it's humanity as a whole that is in trouble. The drain towards industry is to solve industry's problems: make a profit. And yes, these can be extremely interesting

On a related note: I read somewhere that your HyperCard methodology was the reason PowerPoint was created- to explain complicated processes visually, so engineers could talk to business people. It's sad to see where that ended up.
