Nobody really cared in the scene about the DMCA until the FBI started taking people offline. Even then? It stopped nobody, people just got more security aware.

And now I know why that weird version of DOS existed a few decades ago when I was working on cash registers. Back then you ran across a lot of DOS compatible OS's and documentation. As long as all the same commands worked you were usua

What causes Alzheimers? Is it beta-amyloids or something else? They have seen some improvements by removing them but the science isn't really clear. Ultimately some benefit is good but we have also seen the cost of these drugs and it&#

Meta had a product previously called Threads, there's lots of companies called Apple. They are billed as a slack replacement and not a twitter replacement. I'm not seeing the issue.

This was intentional to build the platform out on day one and do as much damage to twitter as possible. I'm sure they will break out the platform but every ig user can get a threads account with a few clicks.

People in the scene thought the DMCA was a joke back in 2000, then they ended up behind bars.

It must be from slam dancing, moshing, ect. Sometimes it can get down right violent but most people are respectful but I can see how it can be set off and ignored as bodies are being slammed around.

It needed to happen, between the existing Tesla network and the IIJA upcoming spending on a charging network it will make EV adoption happen much faster. Competing standards only hurts the consumers and will slow EV adoption.

In the past OEMs would put passwords on motherboard BIOS, they were usually default codes but kept customers people from pushing F1 on boot and getting in to do bad things easily.

I watched Doug DeMuro latest video on the ID.4 and he says it's not fast. On one hand performance might not be needed for a people mover. On the other hand people expect EV's to have superior performance.

The pandemic changed a lot of things, more and more people purchased guns for protection, and fentanyl drug abuse is a massive issue right now and has been for years.

It wasn't just graphics, it was audio as well. People have it nice now but back then you were still fighting audio driver issues. AC'97 support made that situation livable but it took forever for everyone to support it.

That first line got me, everyone used to have ringtones and one day I just left my phone on vibrate and never turned it back on. Funny fact about me is that a certain Motorola ringtone from the mid 2000's will trigger a panic attack, o

That's just it, being first to the market is sometimes more important than worrying about competitors. They killed it so hard with the ipod that even if the zune was a better device at the time people wanted the ipod.

The CA/B forum lost a lot of credibility with me, the vote failed and it took a single member (Apple) to tell everyone else that they were going to ignore the vote and proceed anyways. No debate, no re-vote, no giving anyone any extra

I was told OpenSSL 3 was bad for the longest time, I used 1.1x for everything, but switched to Libressl. Now that I need to switch to AWS Linux they are using OpenSSL 3, my question is should I still be hating on OpenSSL?
