Kogan's website isn't blocked for IE7, so I could not see how it can be a problem if the crawler identifies itself as IE7.

Publishing on the user stream is, afaik, an extended permission. Facebook asks (for Timeline users) if you want to give the application these supplementary permissions, and you can disable these one by one. But the application will ask for

Forcing a reload is never relevant. If it's a very long operation, use a modal popup, or hide the refreshing part of the page, but you should never force a reload.
