There is no we: everyone does it different. The term engineering that we stole from engineers implies making pragmatic decisions based on cost, complexity and requirements. Honestly I see the erring on the side of the traditional more than

We need to think about where we want the knowledge and what knows it. We could use humanoid AIs. We could hatch humans "just in time". Run them in a sim to 18 then release them on their mission. Ethics would need to accept this. M

Not only does it not pay but the impact is a lot lower. Can you make an editor anything like VSCode or a cache like Redis? The bar is sky high and for zero dollars it ain't worth it for most.

The SP500 magic money machine may stop and then everyone is stuck with shitty subpar indexes that lose in real terms. You may need to pensionize 50% to save enough but if everyone does that it is austerity. AI (the robot kind) may be our ma

The freedom is mostly not about the money. The 3D model Benchy was free, while being not free as people found out. Luckily the copyright owners treated it like people were free and free for now... but that could change.

The perception only makes sense if it is "that's it, pack up your stall" for AI. I think what really happened is day to day trading noise. Nothing fundamentally changed, but traders believed other people believed it would.
