No, XR is a thing now. It's a general name for VR, AR and MR (mixed reality). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X_Reality_(XR)

My problem with the whole VR world, Firefox Reality included, is that it requires me to use stores, open accounts, and do all kind of stuff that seems to me unnecessary. Do I get it wrong?

At least in Germany there are practically no such plans. Maybe one or two, but it's with problematic provides and are very very expensive.

People do tend to do that. But it's really their mistake of how they define AI to begin with, saying "considered to be AI and impossible" instead of "we didn't invent yet an a good Chess algorithm".

it must be described somewhere, though not in the announcement. I don't think you're allowed to make $1B deals with a public company without specifying those things somewhere.

I tried Sia about 2 years ago. It worked "ok" for half a GB files, However, for 4-5 GB my upload got stuck while the help forum couldn't provide answers besides "wait for the next release". There were also unclear i

Wow, thanks for the fantastic reply:-) Peerpad looks awesome, and is exactly in the direction of stuff we're interested in. Ironically, a friend sent me its link literally 5 minutes before I saw your comment. Great minds think alike. W

Good question. Do you assume that if Namecoin were to become super popular, the price of its coin would become very high? I don't see why. Can you explain this assumption? Namecoins are not Bitcoins, they're not supposed to be use

We've been playing a lot recently with the concept of IPFS websites. We even created a plugin ( https://github.com/almonit/almonit-plugin - unreleased officially yet!) for websites that combine IPFS with ENS (a dec

You can't patent math theorems because they are not considered inventions, but rather discovering a logical laws of the universe. I treat algorithms in a similar manner.

Assume that humans stop consuming livestock products tomorrow. The real goal would still be to reduce livestock, right? How will it be done exactly? How long will it take? Will they be released to nature? Killed? Not allowed to reproduce an

What do you mean by casual? I use it relatively often, when I want to access a website privately (I don't trust any VPN service that much). I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person doing that. But maybe you mean if someone usi

My new year resolution for 2019 was to keep my computer Google free. It's less of a statement and more a "fun" geeky game. So I rather not install Chrome:-)

I thought about it. But first, you need a lot of information to train a model, so it would only work for very heavy players. Second, creativity is not defined only as doing an action that others didn't do (often or never) before, but a

What you notice is a really subjective argument. I notice ads, even "small" ones; they distract my attention, and annoy me. I'd wish I had your ability to "rarely notice banner ads", but I don't, so I complain.
