Nopes. Bitcoin's yearly inflation is about 1 million BTC for this year and next few years. So to keep the current price stable, almost 350 million (as of this writing) of new money has to move in BTC.

Next 10 years will be all about decentralization of every infrastructure and institution. Only in a trustless system we can have any chance at trust. So no CAs, no authorities.

Blockchain is readable as this text. Just get a particular date range and check all transfers for that, filter by an amount!

Have personally spent $70 for forgetting my keys inside. Not the worst money spent but an expensive lesson nonetheless.

To me it seems like floats are being converted to int and then code is working with it. I don't think this will create an issue unless the int is overflowing. Any failing testcase?

If Bitcoin has x point precision and I multiply every amount by 1e^x. Won't that in essence gives me correct integer value to work with. Provided I haven't overflowed the integer max?

Can you explain what's wrong with this? If I had 1 million in $info[ 'balance' ]? Would $bean->Coins overflow?

I followed until this far https://blockchain.info/zh-cn/address/1BWxHjJMmfxfu3w9ESDx91... And it goes back to MtGox address. What? Following another chain and ended up here https://blockchain.info/

So much speculation and theories. Seems like Occam's razor wins again.

This is where cultural gaps kicks in. She might face lots of pressure from her relatives back home if she don't pretend that she tried (I am guessing) but it's a valid possibility.

Where do we stop once this kind of arrangement is reached? Do the miners then (or the created group) agree to recover all lost coins? This is very dangerous proposal. Bitcoin's real power is that people can trust each other anonymously

I am from India. And worked for over a year on oDesk. I think it's painting the whole industry with a very wide brush. Personally know people in Delhi/Mumbai making very comfortable salary.

This month. There's no date. Let's not relate it to recent events. Actually this kind of insinuates what's happening.

Actually, broader reason was that people concluded that MtGox have lost all the coins. And will be insolvent. In that event, it be easier to sue them for cash instead of coins.

That's exactly what happened. No coins were allowed to be withdrawn from MtGox. That's why people panicked and sold at firesale.

Seems like they concluded that panic selling is over and they can't benefit from this anymore? Too bad many of their customers already sold at much lower prices.

No idea why they didn't just admitted all the wrongdoing at start of this month instead of pulling so much wool. As much as I wish, people recover their coins; I am not sure if there's any trust left in whatever they are going to

What do you seek? Minimizing pain, maximizing pleasure. That's what we all are programmed to seek. You find that and associate it with the studies. E.g.s Maximizing pleasure: + Do you want to work in another country/place. Your st

According to the article, the recruitment was from the private sector and pays the market rate. If this was nepotism, then I would had agreed with the waste argument. But just because someone is being paid 10x the majority, doesn't mak
