You deployed that meme effectively. I generally cringe at the mention of Peterson, but "polemics" disarmed my knee jerk. That was a cool example of the vector-payload model!

Is it just me, or does it seem like only one end of the political spectrum has perfected information virality? What is it about these messages that is making them so sticky? Is it volume, medium, semantic construction, social proof? I'

I was literally sitting here trying to stop the waves of sadness I'm feeling from not meeting my own expectations. Bumping into a kindred spirit that's getting shit done really helps. Thank you for the nudge.

Yeah, I thought of mentioning that but wasn't sure how in the weeds anyone would want to go lol Besides, I'm optimistic about what an enterprising individual is capable of when faced with those sorts of limits... It's those c

There are open versions of GPT so presumably, one could train an open version of Codex. It would be really terrible if Codex was made inaccessible to swaths of people in the name of commercial interests.

I'm pretty sure I ruined a job opportunity for myself by expressing my distaste for crypto. I mean, I might as well go work at a multi level marketing company if I'm willing to work in crypto.

I would personally forego 60-70% of my salary to work on impactful things I want to work on. Rent paid, dog fed, wife happy. Not much else to ask for.

I can't find any updates on the Chrome "fixes" for this. The best way to handle it is by long-pressing the back button to see a fuller history list. You can then hop to the page previous to the one that hijacked the button. I

On one of huggingface's explanation blurb of a training set, they half-jokingly speculate that GPT was trained on libgen. Apparently Google won't reveal what book data it used...

Looking out from this moment in history, if I wanted to prepare someone for the future, STEM wouldn't be the main focus. I know it's anathema to say. In a world where computers fold proteins and predict programmer's intention
