This is ridiculous. Common sense is not exclusive to agencies or freelancers in your own country. There are plenty of awesome developers and development teams in countries other than your own, including many in countries like Poland and Ind

I agree. 4 months is way too short to call it quites and shift to a new product. In terms of customer validation it sounds like you have some but it hasn't been exhaustive by any stretch. Trying to get Adwords-generated revenue with such a

We started Tweaky.com to help with this exact problem. We only tackle small projects but we've built a system which makes this work for both customers and developers. Our project managers break a project down into "tweaks" where each one is

I'm surprised that they kept you on below market salaries after the acquisition. But I'm guessing that the bonuses more than made up for it?

I lived for the last 2 years with a Nokia 1610. Highly recommend but they discontinued in January and a new model came out with a camera (which was against my minimalist ethos at the time). I ended up breaking the chain and switching back t

There is a lot of regulation. Almost every aspect of the design needs approval by the department of transport. There is a need to ensure that the vehicles can be produced in mass production versus a one off. This includes quality control an

"I'll give you 20% of the company if you make the MVP." Which is not what this article is saying at all. That's why there is a dollar figure attached to hiring a freelance developer, not an equity split.

I think you can hazard a guess that it's for building an MVP for a web product. An agency is unlikely to be able to build an MVP of a stealth fighter jet though they might still send you an estimate.

I definitely agree it's part art and part science. "The higher the growth needed, the lower the fees need to be." I don't think that's strictly true. If you had two companies and one had three times the margin of the other, this gives them
