The initial claiming process is automatic. But as noted in the article, the uploader then has an opportunity to dispute the claim. The rights holder is then supposed to manually verify it and either approve or dismiss it. The problem is tha

It's pretty quiet. There were several large tech companies that set up here in the 90s but most left after the bubble imploded. There is, however, a surprisingly vibrant indie gaming scene, and a few start-ups here and there. I've long foun

It's not a matter of repaying the debt. It's a matter of being able to afford future debt. Sovereign debt is generally sold as bonds, which either pay interest or are sold at a discount. The question is: how much interest should they pay, o

It's unfortunate that they decided to save 2 bytes by using onkeyup instead of onkeydown. That choice makes the game nearly unplayable for me. Compare the version in the demo to the one here: http://micahw.com/tron.html (221 bytes). In an

Something I haven't seen discussed: how are web browsers going to handle somebody typing a generic keyword that is also TLD into the address bar? The chrome-style omnibar that every browser has since adopted is predicated on the fact that U

And from experience, a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is certainly an achievement, not merely a coming of age ceremony. It was certainly the hardest thing I'd done by that age (13), and involves leading a full service in hebrew and reading from the Torah,
