Your comparison is nonsensical. Pollution is a violation of a shared resource, and can even be an aggression to someone's property. Even the most libertarian minded individual will make a case against it, see for instance Rothbard[1].

Uber, Tinder, and other apps I use require Google Play Services in their latest version. They simply refuse to work without it and there is no web alternative. It's either downgrade to a bug-prone version or use Google Play Services. T
