True. Linux machines don't read articles though, people do. Whether any randomly selected linux-using reader will have cups installed on a device they control is a very different question.

Why not use a more suitable speech? Also, I think it depends on how you come to these rituals. If it's just something you grew up with there's a good chance it's just some words you stumble through before a meal.

I'm going to suggest that you not use "run a train through" to mean "destroy".

Private Eye is a satirical magazine though. It's not a primary news source in the same way that The Register wants to be for tech news. At one point The Register would have been one of my primary news sources, with multiple visits da

They are, in fact, not still comprehensible. Don't get me wrong, you can learn a lot, but it's no longer possible to have an in depth understanding of everything going on in a modern PC. At a certain abstraction level, sure, but

I think the adventure game portion of Lucas Arts was in the process of dying at that point. They didn't release another adventure game after Escape from Monkey Island in 2000. They would have already cancelled a Full Throttle sequel.

Looks good. Gemini Rue is good if you're looking for something adventure gamey. Return of the Obra Dinn is good if you're looking for something related but different.

In 2012 a local bank rolled out an update that basically took all of their customer services offline. Couldn't access your money. Took them a month to get things working again.

I agree. It showed the price when the presale was still available, so this seems like an oversight. Unless they plan to change the price. Also, I'm still waiting for an actual hands-on review. It's really quite expensive given

Okay, I can't defend that because in reality I'm talking purely from my subjective experience. I will say that in my experience it isn't close at all. However, I will also say that a lot of the things that chatgpt gets wron

Why would the teacher (this is almost certainly not third level education we're talking about here) use a different AI when they already have primary sources? Your suggestion makes no sense.

Lying about the chip (ie saying that it's a $500 intel chip when it's actually an overclocked $200 chip), is clearly unethical. That said the realities of chip binning make this weird, as you could also argue that it's uneth

Merging a branch is one of the "special cases" where an empty merge commit can be used. Git will use fast forward by default but if you want to preserve the history as a separate branch you can use an empty merge commit instead.

As far as I can tell the core issue is that one of the larger corporate users of Nix is a US defence contractor called Anduril. Anduril were one of the sponsors of the 2024 NA NixCon, which is a official conference run by the NixOS foundat

That does seem to be a separate instance though, so it was never really properly resolved at that stage. The reason that Anduril was dropped as a sponsor for the 2023 EU conference was that the venue wouldn't allow the association. Th
