I'm having some trouble understanding this sentence: " [...] our 3-D ‘reality’ (plus time) is contained in a 2-D surface on its boundaries." What, exactly, do they mean with 'on its boundries'?

No, it is never just that simple. And I don't believe anybody would say such a thing. I can imagine being in a position where shipments can be ordered 15 days in advance, but where 45 days would be unacceptable. (train vs ship) If that

I've been thinking there should be a 'second' (?) currency. Basic income would be paid in this currency and you can buy certain stuff with it. Food, rent, gas etc. Then we keep our current currencies right next to it. You can

I don't think it flipped 'back', as much as it's flipping towards the middle? I say this working in an office with 4 desks, which to me is just as fine as working from home. About a thousand people work this way in this

Which makes me wonder if the year wasn't just as interesting for (example) our Chinese friends, but that we just don't focus on their news? But yeah, European me feels like we've had quite the spectacle this year. Merry chris

No. I don't think I'd like living just about anywhere, tbh.

I like living in Europe most of the time. And I'm sure if we could get over a lot of petty, cultural, differences, we could build more amazing things and innovate at a much faster speed then we have been so far.

My rates! Seriously. That's how high they are and that's where I want them. But because I pick up the phone when they call and I seem trustworthy, they pay it. Also, I take my work very seriously, and they get what they pay for. C

This really helps me, personally, abstract the concept of 'data' a lot more. It's not about files or records, data has a 'volume'. A few PB fills up a shipping container. Next time my client asks me how "much&q

I'm serious here: Can we make a "euuhmm" remover for Elon Musk? I love his vision, but can't stand his talks because he can't a word out without "euhmm"-ing it.

It's a great point you make. Because we're not allowed to think like that, we can't talk about it. However, we do base our decisions on it. So here we are. Still not allowed to mention the elephant in the room. PC gone mad.
