If they are able to reach out to folks who have purchased on their platforms and mark offending items as recalled due to safety issues, I don't see why not. It doesn't even seem like that onerous of a task. They're not _respo

This is awful. Who does this? Racist screeds and divisiveness seem to be growing unchecked and it's really worrying.

This is one of my default rules for writing scripts. If the long option is available, use it. It makes too much sense to do so.

What's the difference between running Renato and Hugo/Jekyll/et al? Seems like it's just Node.js vs Go/Ruby/whatever.

I don't like Kennedy. I don't like his policies on vaccination, on disease safety and just his politics and associations in general. However, I am willing to admit where he is right. Some food additives are not needed and ultra-pr

Of course, you can get this information in Emacs, too. You'll need to get your lat and long, first: (setq calendar-latitude 12.3456 calendar-longitude -98.7654) Then, you can `M-x sunrise-sunset` and see the times (

It doesn't take a lot to read between the lines here. It's not like selling off Chrome would somehow invalidate the Open Source Chromium project in any way.

I convinced Musk to not only _not_ fire me, but to back a boondongle project that will either ultimately kill the platform as a whole, or turn our world into a X-ian hellscape from which there is no escape.

Fair enough. I usually deny permissions to the features I don't care about if I'm pushing it up on the web. It's nice to have them there if I need them, though.

Not tremendously. You still commit, you still push and pull. There is a history and ignore options. There is a guide written for Git users: https://fossil-scm.org/home/doc/trunk/www/gitusers.md

This is what I love about Fossil[1]. You get all of those extra tools (wiki, chat, forums, bug tracker) in the server that is also in the binary that you use to manage the repo. So, if you want to serve it, just `fossil server file.fossil`

Yes! I know nothing about low level programming, but the idea of using a register that you don't need for a fast 'memory' location is particularly clever.

The linked GitHub thread with Ken Silverman is gold. Watching the FastDOOM author and Ken work through the finer points of arcane 486 register and clock cycle efficiencies is amazing. Glad to see someone making sure that Doom still gets per

I switched to Sidebery long ago. This looks like a move in the right direction, but reading the docs say that it also loads in AI chat and other features? Like Edge? No, thank you. I'll stay on LibreWolf or some variant thereof.

Yeah, unless this is someone at the FSF, you don't really get to tell your attorney what tools they use. Sure, FSF could try and find someone who aligns with their beliefs, but often that's not feasible.

I end up using $CDPATH a lot for initial movement. While it's probably not as comprehensive as this, I find it and something like zoxide can cover a lot of ground.
