Isn't that just natural supply and demand at work? You will get the equilibrium when the price of the cab fare is equal to the real cost of it. There are not 50k cabs, because there are just so many guests that want a cab. Or do I misunders

Love to try this out, especially the loading scripts feature. One question though: Is there any setup i need to do, or does it just fit right in with my existing pjax set-up?

One question to the Parse department: How do you add indecies to fields? Do you automatically create them? If I have Users for example and I frequently want retrieve them by their email, I presume you dont do a linear scan every time?

Two points people should be thinking about: Yes, Pinterest has a good monetization scheme compared to Facebook ( http://cdixon.org/2012/05/15/facebooks-business-model/ ), because of the natural placement of affiliate links and purchase inte

Love it. I think Node is the hot shit right now, and Rails is starting to get into the hate-period. It's really just hipsters and music. We are all really just hipsters.

I can't stress enough how I admire and respect server/dev ops people. Their job is among the hardest and people definitely overlook their importance way too often. I wouldn't even know how I would go about finding them

Truly believe that would be a feature that would make Rails exciting again. Just like Rails made CRUD ridicoulously easy, I wish they can do the same with more client-side oriented apps. It's admittedly a hard problem

Thanks for the state of Neo4j. I really love Neo4j, but I am just afraid I'm hurting myself in the long-run, because I definitely don't like sys-ops, so I feel like I need to revert to more conservative solutions.

Bindings are really not my concern, I think the rest API by itself is already very intuitive and the graph model is very very appealing. I'm just more concerned about what happens if you go beyond a single machine or usual capacities. With

I'm not doubting the popularity of the bindings, more the ability to scale it. The most popular argument against NoSQL solutions is the limited amount of info and expertise available to build a strong and scalable system with them. Even now

I'd love to use Neo4j for future projects but I was wondering: How mature is it? There are not that many articles out there and I wonder how you go about durability and scalability with Neo4j. I really hope it will take off like other NoSQL

Love the quote: “The difference between the best worker on computer hard-ware and the average may be 2 to 1, if you’re lucky. With automobiles, maybe 2 to 1. But in software, it’s at least 25 to 1. The difference between the average program

Favorite part: This is not to say that clerkships, scholarships, and awards don’t often reflect incredible accomplishment. Where that’s the case, we shouldn’t diminish it. But too often in the race to compete, we learn to confuse what is ha
