This matches my experience/takeaway as well. I didn't feel or think anything during, let alone after, the movie. And same for the recent Dune movies - (even more) gorgeous, well made and blah.

Came to point this out as well. Very bizarre that it was capitalized. Italics or bold might even have been acceptable...

Another thought is that the values are not just related to rarity in English, but how many tiles there actually are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrabble_letter_distributions#... Though it is strange that there'

I find it to be very bizarre that the page continually uses terms like "cost", "charge", "price", "cheap" etc... There's no such actual concept in scrabble. It's as if the author (likely an

I agree. This article very much reads like The Onion. Though, mostly just the quotes. Though, contrary to the sibling comments, I've never noticed that before when reading articles there

whats with the downvotes...? I am agreeing with the article that this is all insanity. and just adding a ps that its annoying when people link to articles that very few people can actually read.

yeah, i dont understand, whatsoever, the folks who are running models locally other than for privacy/curiosity. It is surely FAR slower, more expensive (electricity + hardware costs), and worse quality. Better to outsource to providers

This entire argument rests upon the fact that Gemini Flash ain't cheap. Try plan with opus 4.8 and then implement with Deepseek v4 flash - its 35x cheaper for reads, 90x cheaper writes, and 18x cheaper cache reads. Or plan with Deepsee

Yes, agreed. The document is dripping with red flags - I only called out the surprise rule, but could have criticized the rest. It may very well be a wonderful environment there, but I wouldn't be even slightly surprised if people get

Agreed - the rule does not say, nor do they mean that the rule should be broken regularly. I was saying that because it is true, because it's not a good rule as written. Once again, I'm reading (and quoting!) the rules exactly as

But the fact remains that the rule is terrible. It's not about whether they tolerate transgressions (they'd better). Its that the rule SHOULD BE broken, regularly. If a rule should be regularly broken, it's not a good rule. I

Its not evident to me that that is really a concern when datastar is so small, and most of the js is written inline. Moreover, htmx can only do a fraction of what datastar does - you'd need to add on something like alpinejs to be able

https://data-star.dev is what you were yearning for, friend. It is more powerful, faster and smaller than htmx and alpine combined, and has all sorts of capabilities specifically for multi-player live reactivity.

But the point is that Datastar only exists because htmx rejected all of those ideas. Now it's becoming a cheap, more complex, less powerful, heavier copy of Datastar. Just use the genuine article.
