Yes. They tried to send in robots to observe and help the liquidators move debris at Chernobyl, but they didn't last very long. It isn't so much the radio signal as the electronics get damaged very easily by radiation.

Facebook is quite clever about this. To verify your identity under some circumstances, Facebook shows you pictures of your friends and asks you to identify them. It is up to you to figure out the best way to authenticate your users.

Where does the author get the idea that JavaScript is easy? As a Ruby and Node developer, JS is much harder. Fewer libraries, less syntactic sugar (e.g. 3.hours.ago, 3.times) and a prototype object system.

False. Unless the device is jailbroken. Each app has a separate cookie store and web cache. However, you can access the address book without prompting.
