Maybe. Depends on the felony and the nature of the crime. I'd probably say no to sexual and violent crimes and some non-violent crimes (fraud, theft). Not to be judgemental, but some people really do have physiological issues. Not everyone,

Cut the math for now, on what basis are you valued at $30 million? You said it yourself, out of thin air. If you are not making profit, still in stealth-mode and have no clients, sorry to break it to you but it's worth...: $0.

Best book for entrepreneurship: none. You don't learn "entrepreneurship". You experience it. If you're already kicking the ball (instead of reading books on how to kick a ball), read about anything but "entrepreneurship" :) I recently unsub

Ruby is just beautiful. I learnt Python and Ruby last year, and even though they're both really good, I find Ruby's syntax hard to resist. Metaprogramming is also great (others have commented about that)

I can show you 10 studies to counter each study you just posted, so all these "studies" are useless. At the end of the day, 11,000 people are dying in the US per year vs. only tens or hundreds in other countries where they have proper gun l

Do you actually believe this? This makes me laugh... I think we need a psychological study to see what is this filthy obsession with guns people have here in the US.

I wonder if you realise city-wide laws don't matter: you can drive 30 minutes from DC in Virginia and get a rifle...

I agree, but 11,000 people dying a year sounds like an actual threat/risk to me. Your list can be modified to: heart disease, cancer, public debt, guns, etc.

You sound like a tea party Republican. Of course the government has to jump in when a 3D gun is being printed, whether it's safe or not!

> I'm sure you are aware of all this. I'm not sure how you're sure. I haven't. I've heard Star Wars references before in general, but not particularly from the tech/software community. Your second analogy doesn't really make sense to me

I wish I could understand what the relationship between Star Wars and technology/hacking/software engineering is, that everyone is talking about here. (P.S: I'm a Software Engineer but never watched Star Wars).

It's not an "idea" really. It's a business that needs $400,000 initial investment :-) I realised that if he was really interested, he'd probably rather invest in someone investing it. No NDA it is.

Lots of interesting startups in the Bay Area doing things more than just a typical CRUD apps. Square, Parse are two to name a few. If you secure a job there, I'm sure you'll be able to pay the rent.
