I feel with tumblr it's the combination of gifs and infinite scroll that makes it crap out. It's a far nicer experience appending /mobile/ to a tumblr url.

mocha, chai, etc. I get it, it's a play on java. but are we eventually gonna run out of namespaces for all these different tools and libraries. There are only so many variations of tea and coffee we can use!

I'm surprised I never came across this before. Thanks for this. I'll be giving it a try on my next project.

Ionic is definitely the best I've seen. You can whip out an app with even the most rudimentary knowledge of Angular.

I recently used trigger.io on a project. It doesn't seem much different to phonegap. Their Reload feature was useful because we had a tight deadline and many iterations but documentation was sparse. Most documentation links 404'd

I'm surprised they didn't spend a billion on buying Flipboard. Then again I don't know if Flipboard is in the same league as instagram in terms of active users.

Maybe provide a free download and allow users to play through tutorials or the first 2 levels then opt for a single in-app purchase to unlock the full game. One single in-app purchase that would have been the cost of the game anyway. No dif

I'll admit, sometimes I don't want to spend more than $10 on a game especially without knowing what it's like. But that's why there's in-app purchases or rather, a single purchase. Like the golden era of PC games wh

I know this is a silly nitpick but I do wish DuckDuckGo had a simpler URL. It's so quick and easy to type in bing, google and even blekko. How's about some variation on DDG? That aside, I especially love DDG's Goodies: https

This is absolutely amazing. How do you keep up with changes to all the various stores? If I were a niche retailer, is there a way to be on the amber.io system? I'd think a plugin to some of the popular eCommerce solutions on the market

Is $100 really that expensive? I'm quite broke, being a freelancer with irregular income, but even I could save $100. It's $100/yr not $100/app or per month. Also, it's one ecosystem out of many. Don't like it.

So much cynicism. Oh well, this is Apple news so that's to be expected. Apple has a history of doing this. You might say (and certainly most here have) that they are attempting to promote the brand through use of Mandela's image b

I've done much the same while both working and going to university. Still do. Is not the tech industry just as competitive? It might not force labor on you but however indirectly, long hours of coding with 0 sleep is considered a badge

Aside from the ideological reasons for not installing the Origin client, are there others? I'm wary of clients such as these installing loads of additional software and wondering if the Origin client is guilty of the same?

That's my primary objection. While the rest of the icons look so light and minimalist, the Contacts icon feels heavier, more complex.

So I guess we're stuck with the Reminders and Contacts icons looking that way. I know it's a silly thing to be upset about but damn if they ain't two of the more hideous icon redesigns for iOS 7. Notes has this subtle texture
