Anyone would work faster and better alone, it just doesn't really scale. Building something yourself is much easier than working in a team, the bigger the teams the harder it is.

I don't think this is really in good faith, what is meant by 10x programmers is exactly that they are 10x more productive in grinding jira tickets, not that some people know more and are wokring on harder problems, etc.

What a waste, the time you have for your thesis is the most free time you will ever have to do research, but if you don't enjoy it whats the point.

Thanks for sharing, this looks really interesting, the approaches of including AI in theory of science are extremely interesting and will potentially create a new scientific paradigms. Things really are happening right now.

I don't have an issue with instruction tuning, but it's disengenious to pretend the biases inherent in the instruction tuning are a good thing and 'ethics'.

we need less censorious AIs not more ... the claim that it's somehow 'ethical' to have a guy baking in his opinions about things in a tool used globally is absurd to anyone who ever read anything about ethics

I really don't get this anti-speculation sentiment, it seems really disingeniousa as it only becomes a problem when it becomes accessible to all. People seem to be very okay with speculation when done by billionaires, banks and wallstr

v) It adds so much extra complexity. vi) You trade a few type bugs that are easily debuggable and avoidable for type composition and hierarchy bugs which are hard to find. I have seen good examples of TS that make sense and made to play wit

Web Components are a good concept but the implementation is terrible even as designed. OOP JS is itself terrible, but the end result are files of thousands of lines where vanilla JS + html would require just a few. I'm currently workin
