Great. It's nice to have another Node podcast. There is the 'Minute with Node' (or something like that) that is done by the core team, but I don't think it is very active. It also seems to be a longer, more in depth format - which is great.

You can definitely run F# on Mono. Since F* seems to be an extension of F#, it might work on Mono too, but I don't know that for sure. A lot of what comes out of MS Research ends up in their mainstream Visual Studio supported languages, so

When I saw that this was inspired by Erlang, I expected to see light-weight processes and built-in language constructs to support Actor style message passing between processes. I don't see that or anything else Erlang like.

I thought Javascript Patterns by Stoyan Stefanov was pretty good and not too client-side centric.

You don't HAVE to build from source: brew install node And I think there is a deb package as well. But, I think I remember someone on the core team recommending to just build from source for now. I have not been doing that and it h

I've been pretty happy with the Hacker News app by Michael Grinich, but this looks promising and competition is a wonderful thing.

If memcached, what do you do to make sure sessions aren't lost. On their FAQ ( http://code.google.com/p/memcached/wiki/HowToSessions ) it sounds like it is not intended to be used for sessions. Thoughts?

I love posts like this. There are too many blog posts that make it to the top of HN that are just complaining or speculating of some type. I would much rather read a detailed write-up on the discovery and solution to a problem.

Wow, very deceiving title. The combined number of deals by both New York and Boston was greater than of Silicon Valley. And that is just the number, not the actual amount of invested capital. This is just link bait.
