You sink your time into "random projects" and accomplish things. I sink my time into random projects and the time, money, artifacts acquired, and knowledge gained just sluice into the void. We are not the same :)

That's awesome! This one https://videopuzzle.org/puzzle/184 just about cost me my sanity though.

This looks really cool. There's something about your menu at the top, though, perhaps it could use debouncing? I feel like I click it just as it's automatically opening, which causes it to close.

That's brave! I've thought about doing the same thing in Rust, and I saw someone else's (Andrei Karpathy?)'s implementation in... C, too, I think, but not sure about that. I think it's a great project, and you'

Thanks! I'm just digging into this, but there's a lot about this that I like. Your writing is very clear and to-the-point.

Cool! I really love this sort of project. I've abandoned many similar things :) What do you like most about it? What things do you find fun to implement?

Yeah, I had a very similar experience recently. I refactored some things because the code was weirdly circuitous. Should I not have? I wrote a lot of explanatory notes. Was that a bad move? Ultimately I spent several hours on it and my resp

This is really slick. I watched the YouTube video (a couple of times; I didn't grok what was happening immediately) and I really love how this accelerates feedback cycles. Very, very cool.

Can verify, I'm somewhere on the hypergraphic spectrum and one of the reasons I like computers in general and LLMs in particular is that they're literally forced to read what I write.

Yeah, Datadog's pretty amazing at having an absolute ton of depth but concealing most of the complexity behind a friendly-ish interface. Came into this thread to compliment them in particular. (If anyone from Datadog reads this, please

If the clock is running backwards at very high speed, it would be right infinitely many times but the proportion of the time that it is right would approach some finite constant.

If you haven't heard of it before, also check out Goal-Oriented Action Programming. I was looking at that for giving NPCs essentially their own questlines. So you have some random event happen ("Grug the orc steals Marf the orc&#x

I really enjoy this! I like Murdle, too. I was very interested in a sort of quest generation system that would use similar concepts to generate RPG quests, basically constraint solving I suppose.
