I’ve played with this idea a bit. In my experience it felt like a hack to work around the fact that individual PRs took a while to get merged. An alternative solve is to work in a way that allows PRs to be merged more quickly, ie pairing, m

I use mackup to sync my dotfiles via iCloud Drive. I tried git a couple of times, but I always forgot to commit my changes on one machine before I switched to the other.

After years of using Knockout and Angular/RxJS, I'm not at all convinced that adding Observables to React is going to lead anywhere interesting.

Never played the game, but I loved the book as a kid. Along with his novelizations of the Alien movies, Alan Dean Foster was right up there with Stephen King as far as I was concerned.

This is awesome! I’ve never seen the process of desaturation and palette building described as mixing the base colors together before. This gives me a whole new perspective.

I bounced around a few custom email addresses and finally ended up on gmail. It's easy to tell people (everyone knows gmail) and if gmail closes shop, I'll have approximately a zillion blog posts to look at for migrating to someth

Neat, but calling large format film "the only medium that captures enough detail to straighten the tree without pixelly artifacts" is silly. Large format film is gorgeous and captures tons of detail, but you could capture much, mu

Two things bother me about Notion as a documentation platform: no “plain” tables, and the potential for infinite unnecessary complexity with its databases. I love notion, but as a company-scale doc platform I don’t think it’s there yet.

What’s wrong with Confluence? We have a recently-acquired team at work that uses it for everything, and loves it. I’ve used it a bit, and I think it looks awesome, and the pricing is super reasonable. Confluence looks better than everything
