They had something like 50 employees didn't they? Back of napkin I'd say probably around $10,000,000 for employee packages. Multiple that by 3-5x for total operating costs and I'd speculate they'd need $30-50m to break e

I think both are in the same category. Being horny is like being violent. If you don't have access to a partner or a weapon then your just an angry dude in a dark room fapping into the abyss.

Better approach in my mind is to develop vaccines. Last I checked marriage is by no means an STI preventing form of contraception so I think you mean monogamous relationship. As many people are in happy monogamous relationships with no inte

Will need to look at that! I've disabled JS ever since the spectre/meltdown CVE announcement and only enabled it for a select few sites. Now if I hit a SPA site I just close the browser tab unless it's something I really need

I've spoken to some folks that worked in the VPN provider industry... many of them aren't the bastion of consumer protection they claim/are perceived to be. With the exception of Tor (and even that has been found to have prob

Found out via Twitter you can also use 1.0.0.1 which is another of their resolvers and works for me in Argentina. Although 1.1.1.1 is accessible for me know so I suspect it was a propagation issue.

I think you could've just as easily stated. "Huh interesting what are the downsides?" Suppose that would admit not knowing something... certainly not something we should be encouraging!

What stack are you using for SMTP and POP/IMAP? Do you use a secondary relay to hold you e-mail in case it goes down?

DRY as a concept needs to have better bounding. I think it's counter productive in many instances. (Albeit highly useful in others.) I've observed discussions with people citing it becomes particularly pathological when DRY is emp

I think there's 2 primary motivations for acquisition; 1. purchase for innovation. 2. market control. I think the latter is what people squawk about the most. Employees of the acquired will always find it uncomfortable. Small companies

TLDR; 1. Start-ups love OSS. OSS loves NIX. 2. Mac's just work (mostly). 3. Cult of Apple. 1. OSS is generally free. Windows software, esp. on the server side, tends not to be. For a start-up it means you might need to invest some swe
