To add to the other replies: from what I read at http://www.popehat.com/2013/04/02/prenda-laws-attorneys-take... : "In effect, the responsible lawyers for a law firm conducting litigation before a court have refused to explain that litiga

Thanks for the information. I guess I didn't really come out and say "I don't know how it works in other countries", but I imagine that it's the little things like that, maybe differences across all countries, that make this kind of thing r

To extend that: according to my understanding of a discussion I had with my cousin (a police officer in Australia), threats of a violent crime are recorded as a violent crime, as far as statistics are concerned there. That is to say, "I h

My ex was a member of a teacher's credit union. To log in you had to give the account number, the password and the user's last name. One day she told me she always had trouble remembering which way to log in... which seemed strange to me. A

The Bitcoin application / daemon can be controlled via RPC calls, so I presume that's how they do it.

Don't know if we can trust that link at the moment: it's showing the last trade as "an hour ago".

That value might be correct, but I think what megablast is getting at is that the original hardware wasn't able to calculate the position of all of the invaders and still maintain the video frame rate. So even though it was intended to work

Clinical devices are an awesome idea for this... nice one! Having worked on systems in hospitals before, I couldn't believe the number of times users had to handrub etc. each time they went from handling our scanners back to the actual prod

I think Keepass2 requires Mono but if you're OK with installing that, then xdotools can be installed to autotype for you.

I hear ya. In fact, I got burned by that problem enough times to make a test for it in my PHPCS 'coding standard'... which is basically a handful of standards that look for my stupid, repeated, coding errors :)

That's fair. I have a similar thought process around other servers and sites that I have, so I can appreciate the need for fiddling. Funnily enough, I think the reason I went with Blogger (alongside not needing to worry too much about traff

I guess when I read it I didn't think "hardware is free as in you'll be paying for a contract of service where the cost of that service includes the cost of the hardware". I mean, if we're to be able to redefine 'actual' costs like that, ma
