Great work! I've stopped using Twitter but I managed to taper from it by following things using RSS feeds drawn from Nitter. Don't know if that still works but could be an idea?

Personally I would just buy my kids a dvd player. Edit: seem the author himself sort of agrees. He buys Blu-Rays and puts them on the Plex. Could just skip the Plex part and let them play the Blu-Rays...

My parents dog tends to not eat his food unless they start pretending that his friend poppy, who died years ago and who used to love eating his food, is at the door. He panics and eats up his bowl, lifting his head up anxiously to look at t

My way is to do year__author1_author2_author-n~~title-of-book~subtitle##tag1#tag-2#tagn.pdf This means that files are automatically organised by year of publication, that I can search by tag name, and that I dont have to escape chars in the

I use recoll to index and search thousands of pdfs. Because I always have the author name in the filename I can filter queries like this: Cybernetics OR steering filename:Heidegger ext:pdf It's an absolute power tool.

With all due respect and without intending to troll, I just don't get why people spend so many hours of their lives lovingly doing things like this. TR is out there playable on various consoles, I had it on the Saturn 25 odd years ago,

Given that this is for college students I think it's fair to be particular about the grammar of the title of this post. Either it should be 'second-brain tool' or, if you must, Second Brain tool; as it stands it reads like yo

I could never get my head around the use case for ConTeXt. It seemed like LaTeX minus defaults that have been defined by typographers and the massive ecosystem. Care to say more?

    > Yes, latex's HTML output is fairly good nowadays, after a lot of people made very heroic efforts to put it in a system never intended to support it. Mind saying more? Didn't know there'd been progress here.

Much of what you write is interesting, and I appreciate your reflection. I'd just like to qualify something about Licklider. At the time of the Man-Computer Symbiosis in 1960 computer science didn't exist as a discipline, so he wa
