But that's because the limit is too low. Meat is relatively expensive, but it's not necessarily unhealthy. If the limit was, say, $5/day then he would probably have included meat.

Thanks. I wonder why the search results aren't consistent.

Oh, I was searching over at amazon.com. It does return Tokyo positions but the results seem different. Thank you. Please let me know how to contact you.

Do you work there? I checked the careers site a while ago (and now again that you mentioned it) but there were no technical positions open in Tokyo.

That doesn't seem to be thesis of the article, since they don't mention anything about the wine tasting experience of the subjects. I really doubt that doing similar experiments with wine experts would give the same results.

Yeah, I meant it as an understatement (same for "somewhat big earthquakes").

I doubt that good commands get more upvoted than before. Visible, high points serve as a signal that the comment is worth a read. Also, I believe that other things being equal people tend to upvote high-point comments more. In other words,

I think it's rather important. It's the equivalent of spending years writing (say) a MMRPG that turns out to attract only a handful of customers, then giving up and writing a fart app that goes on to sell a whole lot.

I was skeptical of this, such low wages for a potentially dangerous job. I found this (in Japanese): http://job.j-sen.jp/hellowork/job_3373229/ Indeed it seems not far from the what the article says. It's around 1100 to 1400 yen per hour

Well, the "occasional" cheaper rent is a big deal since rent makes up such a big part of monthly expenses. A 1-bedroom could cost 35k yen in the countryside, 60k in the outskirts of Tokyo and 90k+ in central Tokyo.

Do you still have medical bills? Why can't you live on the cheap for a year, save one year worth of living expenses and then leave your job? For instance: 1) If you live in a big city, live in a very small apartment. Use public transportati

Indeed. In Brazil, we had (maybe still have) the following situation. Suppose your car had been stolen and the police had found it. They would then expect a bribe before handing you the car. If you didn't pay the bribe the car would suddenl

The 7City quant course fee is around U$20k, not 150k! I think before the 2008 crisis (I was going to say "Lehman shock" but I'm not sure if this is common outside Japan) it was considered a good deal: you could easily increase your value by
